The Lerici Music Festival is one of the most exciting classical music summer festivals in Italy. Founded in 2017 by Gianluca Marcianò in its hometown, the festival aims at making Lerici the cultural hub of the Mediterranean, taking up the history that binds it to the great poets, writers and artists who stayed, loved and have been inspired by the Gulf of Poets.
In just few years the Lerici Music Festival became member of the European Festival Association and an institution recognised and supported by the Ministry of Culture of Italy. It is the only example, between Italian festivals, of an event mostly privately funded by national and international patrons and donors.
Every year a different theme becomes the leitmotiv of the programme. Artists from all over the world are performing in the beautiful venues next to the sea: Villa Marigola, Rotonda Vassallo and the Assembly Room at the Town Hall. Young talents are sharing the stage with the most famous stars like Sir Bryn Terfel, Carmen Giannattasio, Joseph Calleja, Sumi Jo, Alison Balsom, Christian Blackshaw, Beatrice Rana, Francesca Dego, Anna Tifu, Andreas Ottensamer, Daniele Rustioni, Sergei Krylov.
